20 Hardcore Turn-Based Positional Tactics Games for Android

Hello!
I want to share my selection of 20 games on Android (If available, links to other platforms have been added) with common mandatory features:
1) It should be a fusion of Tactics + RPG + Logic game.
2) High complexity, minimum casual component;
3) Step-by-step, there should be time to think about the move;
4) The importance of positioning, that is, successful gameplay is based on the competent placement of your hero/heroes on the level;
5) Determinism, that is, the consequences of each move are calculated and the influence of randomness is minimal;
6) There is no grinding (and even less waiting for “energy restoration”);

Less important, optional criteria:
1) Roguelike elements (procedurally generated levels, permanent death and others). A list of all roguelike elements can be found here: roguelike definition;
2) Gradual leveling of the character or the emergence of new mechanics (maybe even with RPG elements);
3) Pleasant style of the graphic part of the game.

And the list itself:

1. Grue the monster – roguelike underworld RPG

Briefly about the game:
– control an evil monster that avoids light. The task is to catch all the travelers;
— new skills are gradually revealed: scare away enemies, lure them, turn off the light with a trap, stick them with Velcro, etc.d;
— 4 endings depending on the direction of progress;
— there is a Russian localization, based on the game Gruesome by Darren Gray.

Briefly about the game:
— control of a Greek spearman, whose task is to get to the 16th floor and steal the Yendor artifact;
— only 4 different enemy monsters, but on small battle maps they won’t let you get bored (soldiers, archers, bombers, sorcerers);
— the game is well balanced, although it has one ending, replaying it is always interesting;
— different styles of passing are possible depending on the skills you choose to upgrade;
— it was this game that spawned quite a few good games with similar mechanics.

Briefly about the game: https://gamblingdata.net/casinos/monster-casino/
– task – by manipulating the available fixed skills, you need to get rid of all opponents, throwing them into lava, pushing them onto spikes, pulling them towards bombs;
— the game requires very careful calculations, t.To. as a result of incorrect use of the hook, the hero himself can be thrown into a pit with lava;
— the game does not require localization

Briefly about the game:
– the main character is a thief who climbed into the dragon tower. You need to get to the dragon’s lair, steal its treasures and then escape from the tower with the dragon pursuing the hero;
— learning the features of the game occurs through constant deaths, but the very nature of the very rapid development of the game does not force you to quit the game in rage;
— the game is very fair and the levels with opponents are generated in a very diverse way.

5. Occidental Heroes

Briefly about the game:
— Managing a party of three partners with unique abilities for each: different methods of attack and improvements;
— In the game, as you travel across the map, the plot gradually reveals itself mixed with random battles;
— If you drag out the passage, then random battles become repetitive, but the game itself is short and you can go through it with pleasure.

6. Switch Hook

Briefly about the game:
– The only weapon is a hook on a chain. With this hook you need to injure enemies, push them away, cripple them when changing places with each other. Sometimes it’s smarter to grab the key and run away from the map.
— The game is minimalistic, t.To. was made as part of a competition in 7 days (7drl). By the way, this game is from the developer Pixel Dungeon.
— Some find it too simple, some find it too difficult, for me it’s average difficulty, which decreases as you learn the “features” of the enemies;

Briefly about the game:
— the main character has at his disposal a different set of moving skills, with the help of which he must throw monsters into the water;
– different spells and their good coordination with each other, for example, a frozen big guy can only be moved along an icy floor, and if he gets into the whirlwind left by the previous spell, then he will be thrown so high that he can even reach the water;
— the game is paid and without Russian localization, but it is made well, although the small level overview is a little annoying.

Briefly about the game:
— a set of missions with logical tasks with minimalistic graphics, the task is to get to the exit;
— some opponents can be destroyed using a different approach to each, and some can only be run away or blocked;
— paid, localization in the game is not required. There is a mode of fixed logic puzzles and a roguelike mode with a procedurally generated world.

9. Dice Heroes

Briefly about the game:
— You control a team of cubes, which you can gradually equip with different weapons: shields, swords, axes, bows. The task is to destroy the enemy team at each level;
— There are a lot of levels, they are quite varied, but, unfortunately, the discovery of new abilities in the middle slows down greatly;
— There is a significant element of chance in the game, but this game element is subject to control. There is a fairly detailed wiki.

10. Lamp and Vamp

Briefly about the game:
— the main character is a vampire who is trying to get to his new castle. At each level you need to get to the exit – the coffin. Along the way you can eat a couple of guards and priests;
— between levels the vampire receives bonuses that allow him to use special powers more effectively. abilities;
— as in any good roguelike, death is permanent with complete loss of progress.
